Hello, darlings, potatoes, and aliens. So we have weekend breaks apparently. That’s fun. This is the second and last part of the previous writing prompt. That definitely does not mean its done, but it means it’s up for adoption. I may return to it, though…

Enjoy!

Word count goal: 300

Previously on Writing Prompts with Chloë: Yes, welcome. To the dragons den.

She’s laying there, in her small tomb. She’s not dead- iced. 1,000 years old and still as gorgeous as always.

People underestimate her because of it.

These guests whisper on topics like her beauty or her powers. Legends of her flying and running as fast as light. Someone once told me a legend is a bent truth. This truth is truly too out of shape, though.

I stare at her and try to breathe.

In. (I use this technique a lot, sorry)

Clench my fists.

Out.

I feel it. It’s boiling inside me, threatening to overflow.

In.

Tingling in my fingers.

Out.

I stare at her.

In.

The girl who killed so many.

Out.

Blue eyes.

In.

Brown hair.

Out.

Freckles.

Just.

Like.

Me.

I stare at her.

And stare at my reflection in the glass separating us.

My sister and I.

My sister.

The most dangerous Powered on Earth.

Word count: 151

I’m honestly quite disappointed in the word count, but I didn’t have much time to do somehting longer. Sorry!

As  I said, this is now up for adoption, all though I may come back to it. If you finish this story, send me the link, it’d be really cool to read!

If you want, comment.

Book recommendation: The Sky is Everywhere by Jandy Nelson. Probably my favorite book, this was really well written. It was about this teenager, Lennie, who just lost her sister a while back and is thrown into this jumbled love story. The grief is amazingly written, the love a tangled gorgeous mess. (My favorite parts are the poems, mind you.) Definitely recommend. Go to the link below for more info on the book.

Thanks for reading!

P.S: I just reread this and realized that I changed the perspective from the last part, but we’ll ignore that.
